

Ernesto Hill “Pewee” was born on January 23,1959 and passed away on May 7,2026 at the age of 67 surrounded by family. He was a beloved son, brother and uncle and his absence is felt deeply by all who loved him dearly.
Ernesto is preceded in death by his dad Moises Hill, mom Bernabe Hill, brother Eloy Hill, sisters Elida Flores, Irene Almendarez and Eloisa Hernandez.
Ernesto is survived by his brothers Efrain Hill of San Angelo, Tx, Moises Hill and wife Maria, Harvey Hill and wife Enselmini both of Eldorado, TX, Sisters Elodia Huichapa and Rev. Edna Robledo both of San Angelo, Tx, Ebanjelina Hill and Emma Anguiano and husband Juan both of Ulysses, Ks. He had numerous nieces and nephews as well. Ernesto loved to cheer for the Cowboys. His favorites were eating Cheetos and drinking a soda pop. He would always say y quque chocolate, always was his birthday to him. He loved his boots and comb and never would let them go.
He has gone to be with his maker and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he had touched. " God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered ‘Come to Me’ with tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and though we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best." -Shirley Lee Evans
Pallbearers Will be Byron Gutierrez, David Hernandez Jr. Tony Rey Martinez, Caleb Martinez, Brandon Aguilar, and Moey Hill. Honorary Pallbearer Isaac Sanchez.
A viewing will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home, 435 W. Beauregard, San Angelo, Tx 76903 from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm on Friday May 15, 2026
Funeral Service will take place at Primera Iglesia Bautista, 110 El Paso St, Eldorado, Tx, 76936 with Rev. Zaragoza Esquivel on Saturday May 16, 2026. Procession will follow to Eldorado Cemetery.
We would like to extend a special thank you Seth, Victoria, Dr. Shine, and Dr. Cerna with Shannon ICU who went above and beyond in the care for Ernesto. Also, Hospice of San Angelo staff, Echi, Pete, Maggie, Christina, Johnny, Julia, Kendra, Bailey, Maria and especially Imbok who made Ernesto’s last night with us comfortable.
