Esther Dean Martin, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was born May 22, 1956 to Emma and James Williams, Sr. in San Angelo, TX. She went to her heavenly home on November 14, 2021 at the age of 65 years, 5 months, 23 days. Esther attended San Angelo schools and started her working career at Dairy Gold. Esther married Edward Martin on March 19, 1972. Together they had two children, Edward Dean (Deano) and Sherry Denise. She was a very kind hearted and loving person who lived for her family. She will forever be in our hearts, always smiling and jovial. Childhood memories include jumping rope, playing jacks, hide and seek, simon says, red rover, red light, green light and hopscotch. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, James and Emma Williams; sister Sharon Dennis; brother James Thomas Williams and daughter Sherry Denise. She is survived by her husband Edward Martin; sisters Jeannie Whitlock and husband Joe, Margaret Schiller, Nita Hartman and husband Ronnie and Eileen Cavaness; brother James (Bubba) Williams, Jr.; sisters-in-law Arlene Burney and Cooke Tennis and husband Billy; son Edward Dean; grandsons Chad Martin and Chance Martin; great granddaughter Jasmine Martin as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home, 435 W. Beauregard Ave, San Angelo, TX. A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and hospice who helped Esther and family through this difficult time.
