

Esther Maria Hendricks Wyman, 72, of San Angelo, Texas, joined Jesus in Heaven April 8, 2017. She was born in Quincy, Illinois on May 3, 1944. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Thelma Hendricks; daughter Natalie Wyman; brother Glen Hayes of Washington; and sister Napua of California. Esther is survived by her loving husband of 52 ½ years Curtis A. Wyman Sr.; son Curtis Jr. (Kim) and grandchildren Kaitlin, Kelsey and Kyle; daughter Wendy (Gerry) Spearman and granddaughters Andrea, Misty, and Amanda; sister Moana Sawyer and brother Chuck Hayes of California; brother Paul Hendricks Jr. of Washington; sister Tammy Pitts of Alaska; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves many friends and extended family members.
Esther was a Registered Nurse and enjoyed making a difference for her patients and their families while working at Shannon and Community Hospital for 16 years. Esther and Curt went on mission trips to old Mexico and Brazil. She taught Sunday school for Children, Young Married Couples, and Senior Adult Ladies and many others for almost 40 years. Esther really enjoyed teaching and loving the Reagan and Belaire House of Faith children for nearly 22 years. Esther organized the “Quick Change” clothes closet at Reagan Elementary and was involved with the Summer Kids Eat Free program held at Immanuel Baptist Church for 6 years.
Sincerest Appreciation to all the doctors and nurses at Shannon Hospital, the Regional Cancer Treatment Center, Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, and Hospice of San Angelo that gave her such outstanding care. Thanks to our IBC Family, House of Faith Team, volunteers and many friends for helping our family through this time. Family Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 6-8 PM. Church service will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10:00, conducted by Pastor Tommy Richardson and Kevin Reynolds, followed by the burial at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home.
