

November 15, 2023. Rosary will be at 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 19th, at Johnson’s
Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church at 2 p.m. on Monday November 20th with Fr. Joey as the celebrant. Interment
will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Eufemia was born on May 7, 1940 in Kennedy, Texas to the late Eufracio Rodriguez and Maria Guzman. Eufemia began her career in the medical field working for both Baptist Memorial and Park Plaza of San Angelo as a Certified Nurses Aid. Eufemia married Reynaldo A. Garcia on January 12, 1953 in Brownfield, Texas and shared 42 years of marriage and together had nine children. She played a major role in helping her husband establish their family business of Ray Garcia and Sons Custom Hauling. After his passing in 2005, his sons and grandsons continued on his legacy and she stepped into the role of silent partner.Eufemia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who taught her children and siblings to be strong and courageous people. She is survived by her loving family: nine children, Ray Garcia Jr. and his wife Susan of Abilene, Leo Garcia of Denver City, Linda Flores and her husband Joe of Muleshoe, Yolanda Agundis and her husband Oscar of San Angelo, Irma Soto of San Angelo, Eddie Garcia and Josie of San Angelo, Tina Sosa and her husband James of San Angelo, Lena Rivera and her husband Mark of San Angelo and Christopher Ray Garcia and wife Veronica of Denver City; 34 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; brother Ismael Rodriguez; sisters Candelaria R. Reyna, and Emma R. Leos. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reynaldo A. Garcia; mother in law, Ramona Garcia; father in law, Ramon Garcia; brother in law, Richard Garcia; and grandson, Marcus Agundis. Pallbearers for the service will be Jeremiah Medina, Leo Garcia Jr., Jarad Flores, Oscar Agundis Jr., Adrian Soto, Josh Garcia, Reynaldo Garcia, Daniel Sosa, and Ramiro Garcia. The Honorary Pallbearers for the service are Michael Garcia, Christopher Isidro Garcia, and David Garcia. Eufemia was very loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. The family extends a special thank you to Hospice of San Angelo; Visiting Angels of San Angelo and we would especially like to thank Sandra Ricardo and all of the nurses who provided care of her.
