Evelyn Scaife Hudson was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 4, 1945. She was the second to the youngest child of Roberta Scaife King and Richard Brown. At the age of eighteen, she joined the Women's Air Corps to see the world. While on her travels she met and married the love of her life, Elgie Dwight Hudson, Jr. on December 7, 1964. In death, she was preceded by her husband Elgie D. Hudson, Jr.; her mother and father; three brothers John King, Herbert King, and Leon King; 3 sisters Mary Edmonds, Annie Mae Kaiser, and Rose Wright.
