He was born September 28, 1925, to James Cody and Maude Bell (Wheeler) Weaver in Drumright, Oklahoma. He married Marcella Pettigrew on July 24, 1943 in Horntown, Oklahoma. They moved to Norman in 1951. Mr. Weaver served in the Army from 1944 to 1946 during World War II. His assignments took him to Arkansas, Washington, California, New Jersey, New York, Germany, France and England. After he was honorably discharged on July 11, 1946, from Fort Sam Houston, Texas, he worked for the City of Norman, Oklahoma for more than 30 years and retired as supervisor of streets in 1985.
Mr. Weaver is survived by his wife, Marcella Weaver of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Suzette Weaver of Noble, Oklahoma; a sister, Pearl Roberts of Conroe, Texas; four grandchildren, Dale and Marie Weaver, Chad Weaver, Lori Weaver, Cody Weaver; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Weaver; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Gene Weaver; his parents; three brothers, Ivan Weaver, Jim Weaver, Clifford Weaver; and a sister, Ferne Korevec.
