

Faye S. Gesch departed this life for eternal life in heaven on November 9, 2016. Faye was born in Eastern Tom Green County on January 11, 1930, to Walter and Leta Smith. She was born between Mereta and Miles, Texas in her Grandma Smith’s home. Faye grew up in Eola, Texas and was a star volleyball player at Eola High School.Faye fell in love with Raymond E. Gesch and they were married for life on May 15, 1948. They made their life farming until the drought and moved to San Angelo in 1954 for Raymond to work in the oil field for Tucker Drilling Co., Inc. Together they created a home for four sons; Brent, Randy, Mark and Rory. Faye was a professional wife, mother, homemaker, Meme, and Aunt Faye. Faye was preceeded in death by her parents; Walter and Leta Smith; her beloved husband, Raymond E. Gesch; son, Raymond B (Brent) Gesch and his wife Abigale; son, Stephen Randall (Randy) Gesch; and many special aunts and uncles, family, and friends. Faye is survived by sons, Walter Mark Gesch and wife Robbin of Round Rock, Texas; a son, Rory Shane Gesch and wife Heidi of Navasota, Texas and daughter by marriage, Charlotte Glasscock Tongate and husband Jim of Early, Texas. Faye is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Velda Deene Strasner Sproul and husband CR of Eldorado, Texas, Monreva Richards and husband William (Rich) of Grandbury, Texas, and Troy Dan Smith and wife Ida of Odessa, Texas. Faye was blessed with five grand-children; Chance Randall Gesch of Greenwood, Texas, Justin Grant Gesch and wife Tracie of Austin, Texas; Jordan Bristo Gesch and wife Keeley of Round Rock, Texas; Chessa Danielle Gesch of Navasota, Texas; and Kynsee Shane Gesch of Richardson, Texas. Faye enjoyed three great-grand-children; Mazzie Gesch and Jaydon Gesch of Greenwood, Texas, and Ivy Gesch of Austin, Texas. The grand-children and a special nephew, Troy Richards will serve as pall bearers. Services will be grave side at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, Texas at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 with Tom Baden officiating. In Lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Charities of your choice and with consideration to education foundations, such as, San Angelo Schools Foundation or Hospice Facilities, like Austin Hospice Christopher House.
