From an early age, Felix joined his father’s business, Savala Concrete. After his father retired, Felix took over the family business and, through steady effort and faithful dedication to his work, built stock tanks, water troughs, and above-ground swimming pools, among other projects. The strength of his workmanship remains visible on many ranches throughout Central and West Texas. He retired and closed his business at the age of 78.
Felix was a devoted husband and family man whose kind heart was evident in the life he built and the care he showed those around him. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and family members to many places, including Las Vegas, California, Arizona, and Mexico.
Felix was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Reymunda Hinojosa; brother, Gregorio Savala Jr.; and son-in-law, Ruben Bersosa.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Maria Louisa Molina Savala; daughters, Rosalinda Bersosa, Rachel Cajas and husband Israel; son, Felix Savala Jr and wife Anita; sister Gloria Martinez; grandchildren, Erica, Eloisa and husband Jeremy, Kyle, and Kelsey; as well as 4 great grandchildren.
