Flora Louise (Halfmann) Willberg, 93, of San Angelo passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022. She was born on January 8, 1928 in Olfen, TX to Charles J. Halfmann and Ella Wanoreck Halfmann. Flora was a High School graduate of St. Joseph’s in Rowena, TX. She has also been a Catholic Daughter since 1946, as well as a member of the Secular Order of the Franciscan Sister. Flora has served as a Eucharistic Minister, assisting with Rosaries and Helping Hands. Mom was a Faithful Servant to our Lord God and she raised all her children in the Catholic Faith. She would always say that Jesus is her Best Friend and he was always there beside her. A truly inspirational woman. She also served as a Foster Grandparent for CVCG. She worked in farming, Waitressed at Lowake Inn and Zentner’s Daughter’s Steak House; made all of the delicious pies at Luby’s Cafeteria; cooking and baking for her family (3 loaves of fresh bread were always waiting each day when her children came home from school, and all of the awesome Ice Box Cookies she always had ready for visits with her grandchildren). Gardening and canning all of the gardens harvest; Quilting and Sewing (made Easter dresses each year for all her girls). She enjoyed playing dominoes, cards and puzzles as well as fishing and camping with her family. Flora was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank J. Willberg, sisters Elvie Ahlert, Georgia Ann Meeks, son-in-law Blaine Martin and granddaughter Dottie Willberg. Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers Earl Halfmann of San Angelo and David Halfmann (Shirly) of Robert Lee; her children Michael Willberg of McKinny, TX, Sam Willberg (Betty) of Abilene, TX, Gail Halfmann of San Angelo, TX, Steve Willberg (Helen) of Georgetown, TX, Frank Willberg, Jr. of Eldorado, TX, John Willberg of Carlsbad, NM, Jackie Martin of San Angelo, TX, Ann Woehl (Arlin) of San Angelo, TX, Mary Clark (Ricky) of Iraan, TX, Doris Downing (Brad) of Grape Creek, TX and Curtis Willberg (Shelly) of Madera, CA; 22 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Holy Angels Catholic Church with interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Rowena, TX. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to “Meals for the Elderly” in San Angelo, TX in her memory/honor. The family wishes to thank Solaris Hospice and Cedar Manor Nursing Facility for all of their wonderful care to mom and support for the family.
