Frank Merrill “Little Frankie” Tabor, 63, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 8, 2013 in San Angelo. The Rosary will be 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. The Memorial Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Rev. Chinna Pagidela as celebrant. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Frank was born January 22, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to Frank and Freddie Lavon Griggs Tabor. He married Jolene Williams on May 12, 1972 in Brady, Texas and they shared 40 beautiful years together. Frank joined the police academy at a young age and served 4 years with Humphreys County Sherriff’s Department, Waverly Tennessee. He then moved to Brady, Texas and went to work for Ed Davenport Trucking and worked until his retirement in 1991. Frank was a loving husband father, Papa, uncle and friend who devoted his life to his family. He loved fishing, hunting and golfing, but mostly he loved spending time with his grandkids. Frank was the first recipient of the splinter award for most dedicated parent. Throughout all of Frank’s medical hurdles he kept his smile. Frank was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church where he became a member through RCIA in 2007. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Marty Tabor. He is survived by his loving family, Wife, Jolene Tabor, of San Angelo; his daughter, Tabitha Eggemeyer and her husband Brad, of Wall, TX, and his son, Frank Tabor and his wife Michele, of Brady, TX.; and Mike Calaway, of San Antonio, who was very special to Frank and Jolene; his Grandchildren, Hayden and Caleb Eggemeyer, of Wall, TX., and Ariel, Frank, Justice and Michaela, all of Brady, TX; one Sister, Carolyn Branton and her husband David, of Kaufman, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be Ricky Bracy, Ronnie Whitefield, Robert Whitefield, Marvin Morris, Chris McKenzie, Cadon Barrett and Sean McIllwain. Donations may be made to San Angelo A.C.T.S or to Baptist Memorials Hospice. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to all the nurses with Baptist Memorials Hospice for all of the loving care given to Frank, Community Wound Care, and “the Girls” ACTS prayer group.
