San Angelo has lost an excellent role model.
Mr. Soto was an example to my friends and me when we were young. He work very hard to be a a real husband , father, Christian, a community leader and a caring person to those who knew him. He live to see results from his efforts. His children, grand children and great-grand children have followed in his foot-steps.

I remember when Gene and I were making plans to move to Clinton-Sherman AFB following my graduation from Central High School. We had a few things to move, including a bed, small stove, dishes, a table, etc. Chico offered to move things for us in his aquablue pick-up truck. With his usual smile on his face, he carted our measly belongings under a torn tarp to Elk City, Oklahoma, a six hour drive. He never complained, told numerous jokes, helped load and unload. He was 50 yrs old at the time and moved and acted like a 30 yr old man. He was an honorable man with high standards. For certain, his gentle influence on all of us will live on through the generations.
