Gene has been a good friend since childhood - growing up in Ballinger. He was a true gentleman. As newlyweds, we invited him for supper - my first time to cook steak - it was like shoe leather but he ate it with compliments.

Mr. Hirschfelt was a true gentleman in every way! Knowing him has blessed our family in so many ways. We were especially touched by the ways he loved and cared for our children as a surrogate grandfather. Sending much love and many fond memories to the Hirschfelt and Hogg families,
With love, Libbi, Bob, Laura Beth, Savannah and Emily Hamilton
