Gilbert Lee Nemeth

He was born on January 14, 1939 in Greensburg, PA to Andrew and Mary Nemeth. Gilbert attended Brewster High School and graduated in the class of 1958. He later went on to obtain his Bachelor of Divinity Degree from Bible Baptist Seminary, Arlington, TX. Gilbert had four children. He will always be remembered for his love for the Lord, his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Nemeth, wife Karen Nemeth, daughter Beth Thrasher, and granddaughter Megan Ward. Gilbert is survived by daughters, Victoria Sample and husband Terry of Denton, TX, Julie Laymance and husband Donny of Decatur, TX, son, Scott Nemeth and wife Pam of Palo Pinto, TX, and grandchildren Carrie and Kevin Valadez of Fort Worth, TX, Stephen and Brandy Sample of Bastrop, TX, James and Amanda Ward of Azle, TX, Jessica and Rachel Thrasher of Phoenix, AZ, Taylor, Garrett and Grant of Santo, TX.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the Nemeth family asks that you make a memorial donation in Gilbert Nemeth's name to Meals for the Elderly, San Angelo, TX. The family would also like to thank the staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, TX for the excellent care they provided. Services are under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home.
