

Glenn Ray Allison, age 73, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. He was born on November 27, 1949 in Tyler, Texas to Raymond and Nanetta Allison. Glenn attended Central High School and graduated in 1969. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army and was honorably awarded the Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam.
Glenn married the love of his life, Cathy (Wilde) Allison on January 15, 1977. This marriage was blessed with three children.
Glenn loved the Lord and was an honorary lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a proud veteran who loved his country and was a big fan of all things John Wayne. He also had a love for football, especially the University of Texas Longhorns and the Central Bobcats who he thoroughly supported throughout his lifetime.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Nanetta Allison. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Cathy Allison; his daughters, Heidi Burnett and husband Jimmie, Heather Whitaker and husband Brandon, and Hannah Waters and husband James; his bonus daughter, Kimberly Adams; his siblings, Lori Judrick and Kelly Allison; his grandchildren, Skylar Smith, Lane Howell, Taylor Howell, Karlyee Howell, Nala Burnett, Emma Hill, and bonus grandchildren, Kolton Whitaker, Hunter Whitaker, Kaitlyn Whitaker as well as numerous others who called him "Pawpaw." He is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 6 pm in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Friday, October 27, 2023 at Holy Angels Catholic Church with interment to follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will include Jimmy Burnett, James Waters, Brandon Whitaker, Dustin Lange, Doug Willberg, Heath Lange, and Lane Howell.
The Allison Family would like to send a special "Thank You" to Kelsey, Rita, and Hospice of San Angelo for their loving care during Glenn's last days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Glenn's name to Hospice of San Angelo or Concho Valley VVA Chapter 457.
