Gloria Rainey Wood

Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Johnson’s Funeral Home chapel.

Gloria was born February 14, 1934 to Cordelia Bledsoe Rainey and Harry Franklin Rainey. She was the third child out of four.

Her first marriage was to Lee Aubrey Buie on November 7, 1951. Together they had four children, one son and three daughters. On March 8, 1969, she married Walter Copley Church until his death in 1985. On November 16, 1989 she married Glen E. Wood, Jr and lived with him until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and two sisters; Robert Earl Rainey, Doris Jean Rainey Connell and Joy Lynn Rainey Jarvis and her late husbands.

Survivors include her husband Glen Wood of San Angelo, three daughters and one son, Karen and her husband Jeff Stadheim of Alaska, Cindy Buie of Alaska, Lisa Berhow of Minnesota, Steve Buie of San Angelo; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and a number of other loving relatives and friends.

She loved sewing, painting, crocheting, traveling and playing bingo.
