Guadalupe Herrera Treviño

Lupe attended Central High School and graduated in 1974. Lupe began his career in carpentry and was self-employed as a General Contractor.

Lupe married the love of his life, Juanita "Janie" Galindo Treviño on September 22, 1975. Together they had one child.

Lupe had a passion for golfing. He was a proud member of Quicksand Golf Course and also enjoyed playing pool. He will always be remembered for his humor, generosity, the influence he had on others, and his hard work ethic.

Lupe is preceded in death by his parents; Juan and Benigna Treviño; his sister, Mary Ellen "Nena" Lopez; Jamie Thomas Poteet; his niece, Kristi Kay Treviño; his nephew, Richard Treviño, his sister in law, Alexandra "Handa" Garza; George Lopez, and his mother in law, Delfina Treviño Cortez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Juanita "Janie" Treviño; his siblings, Juan, Eginio, Armando, David, Gloria, and Delfina Treviño; his daughter, Suzanne Treviño; his God Children, Magen Sauceda and Jessie Sauceda; his grandchildren, Christian Guzman, Jesse Guzman, and Chesney Treviño; his great granddaughter, Saniyah Guzman; his nieces and nephews, Albert Treviño Sr., Albert Treviño Jr., Sylvia Perez, Rosie Kemp, Beatrice Treviño, Jenafer Torres, Christopher Treviño, Delma Garza, Santos Herrera, Henry Cardenas, and Yvonne Williams, as well as other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will include Christian Guzman, Jesse Guzman, Joe Mata, Johnny Valdez, Albert Treviño, and Alex Gonzales.

The family would like to thank the staff of Shannon Medical Center and San Angelo Nursing and Rehab.

A rosary for Lupe will be held Monday, November 27, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 West Beauregard Avenue, San Angelo, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 11 West Avenue N, San Angelo, Texas with interment to follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
