

Devoted husband and father of 6, Henry was born April 19, 1925 in Abilene, Texas to Anna and Henry Hermann. Raised on the Hermann Family Truck Farm he was the next to youngest of 6. He attended Abilene Public Schools. He was a WWII veteran serving in Europe with the 29th Division. Henry returned home and got his degree in Commercial Art from Hardin Simmons University. He romanced and married Mary Anne Egan in Ballinger, Texas on February 18, 1950 and enjoyed over 62 years of marriage. He started working for Shell Oil living in Roswell, N.M., Midland, TX, Traverse City, MI, and Houston, TX. After 34 years as a draftsman, he and Anne retired to San Angelo, TX, staying busy after retirement, bowling two times a day, volunteering for Catholic Outreach Services and Meals for the Elderly. Henry was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Angels Catholic Church, living a full life.
He is survived by his wife Anne of the family home, his son Henry Karl Hermann and his wife Janice of Midland, TX., his Daughter, Beth Hedge, of Palestine, TX., his son Paul Hermann, of Midland, TX.,his son Joffre Hermann, of San Angelo,TX., his Daughter Julie Jones and her husband Brad Jones, of Las Animas, CO., and his son Kerstan “Stan” Hermann and his wife Christie of Lucas, TX; 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings.
The Wake service will be 7:00 P.M, Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Holy Angels Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Greenwell as celebrant. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
