Irene Kendall

Frances Irene Kendall, 84, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2011 in Sugarland, Texas. The Family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M., Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 2, 2011 at The First United Methodist Church in San Angelo with Rev. Nathaniel Hankins officiating. Interment will follow at Belvedere Memorial Park. Irene was born April 17, 1927 in Childress, Texas to Elmo and Leta Summers Hamner. She married Rev. Arthur A. Kendall on September 10, 1948 and they shared 48 beautiful years of marriage together before Arthur preceded her in death in 1996. Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family as a homemaker. She was a faithful and longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in San Angelo. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her Husband, Arthur and one sister, Margaret Hamner Hill. She is survived by her loving family, Brothers, Gene Hamner and his wife, Bonnie, of San Bernardino, CA, and James Hamner and his wife Billie, of Sugarland, TX; Step-Daughter, Barbara Watson, of Abilene; her Grandchildren, Beth Watson, of Amarillo, TX, and Brad Watson and his wife Kristina, of Midland, TX; her 2 Great Grandchildren, Karoline Watson and Adin Watson, both of Midland, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and close friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be given to the American Cancer Society, the First United Methodist Church of San Angelo, TX, or the charity of your choice.
