Janice Eva Belle Fowler, 82, of San Angelo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 28, 2014 in San Angelo. Eva was born November 28, 1932, in Graham Valley, Texas to J.D. and Belva Grace Thomason McCutchen. Her parents moved numerous places before settling in San Angelo. At the young age of 7, she learned to play the piano and because of her tremendous love of music and the Lord, she played for numerous revivals around the area. Eva married her “soul mate” Charles William “Chi” Fowler in August of 1948. She became an incredible wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. Her husband and children were her life and this was reflected in the tireless work she did for them. It was not enough to just say she was a devoted homemaker. Eva worked day and night to make sure that her husband and children had everything they needed including tending to her garden and animals. She was dedicated to her children’s schooling and was always there for them anytime they needed it. After her children grew up, she went to work in various places in San Angelo. She was the church secretary for Lake View Baptist Church for many years. She went back to school to achieve her Certified Nurses Assistant’s license and went to work for several agencies in San Angelo caring for the elderly. Helping others was what she did best, but most of all being a great steward for the Lord was also one of her greatest passions. Eva loved the Lord and her family and she will live on in our hearts forever! Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chi, her son, Dellwyn Fowler and her daughter Treva Hernandez. She is survived by her loving family, Son Larry Fowler and his wife Barbara, of Robert Lee, Ricky Fowler and wife Vickie, Chira Oravetz and husband Max, Danny Fowler, Terry McCracken and wife, Sandy, all of San Angelo, Evana Figueroa, of Bend, Oregon, Twyla Oliver and husband Andy, Johnny Fowler and Thana Fowler, all of San Angelo and Charlie Fowler, Jr. and wife Jenny, of Midland, TX; 34 Grandchildren; 42 Great Grandchildren; her brother, David McCutchen and his wife Gracie, of Kerrville; and her sister, Glyneice Upton, of Midland; and numerous other nieces and nephews and other family members and close friends.
