Jerry married the love of her life, Bill, on August 19, 1947, and they shared 71 beautiful years of marriage.
In addition to working for Jim Bass Ford and Schneemann Insurance Agency, Jerry led all aspects of a vibrant home life and dedicated time to mission and volunteer opportunities in the community. She was very involved in church activities at First Baptist Church of San Angelo, including singing in the church choir and playing as Bill led the music for their Sunday School class.
Jerry loved playing the piano and was avid about words in all forms, particularly reading and crossword puzzles. She loved taking long walks with Bill, playing cards and dominoes with friends, playing tennis, and spending time with family during holidays and summer vacations.
Jerry is preceded in death by her father, B.E. Moore; mother, Larue Moore; husband, William Allen Perry, Jr. and grandson, Dwight William Thacker.
Jerry is survived by her three children, Allen Perry and his wife Vicki, Eileen Cook, and Connie Moore. She is also survived by grandchildren Bryan Allen Perry, Karen Fishbeck, Perry and Colin Moore, and great-grandchildren Trent Thacker and Callie, Tyler, and Eli Fishbeck.
A funeral service will be held Monday, July 17, 2023 at 10 AM in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greer Willis officiating. A private burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Kruse Village in Brenham and Amedisys Hospice in Bellville for their wonderful friendship and care for Jerry.
