

The Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mack Roller officiating.
John was born in Goldthwaite Texas on August 16th 1937 to Walter Chester Henry and Pearl Hardman Henry. John Graduated High School in Goldthwaite, Texas and attended the University of Texas, then joined the U.S. Marines where he served proudly. After his Military Service he moved to San Angelo, Texas, where he worked for Box Planning Mill, Monarch Tile Company, The State Comptroller’s Department and later for Ethicon where he held a management position and was frequently called on to travel throughout the U.S. trouble shooting production problems in the factories. He retired from Ethicon after 28 years of service. In retirement he spent his time with various hobbies. He loved working in his workshop making or repairing various things around the home and for other people. He also loved traveling to Big Bend National park, four-wheeling with his buddies and snow skiing. At family reunions he excelled at washer pitching, horse shoe pitching, and card playing.
He is survived by his wife Jenny Henry of the home, three daughters Michelle Speciale and husband Kenny, Nanette Yvonne Henry, Elise Odell and husband Curtis, one son John Lester (Les) Henry Jr and Camille all of San Angelo, Texas, nine grandchildren, Jeromy Speciale, Kendra Ball, Bryce Speciale, Collin Speciale, Joshua Odell, Ashley Odell, Heath Odell, Jacob Henry and Krysta Henry, and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his first wife and the mother of his children Sharon Coyle of San Angelo, Texas and by 2 sisters, Thelma May and Rita Mason both of Austin, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behinds many cherished friendships that he held near and dear to his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Walter Chester (Sonny) Henry Jr, three sisters, Imarhea Cloer, Mary Johnson and Oleta Cox.
We will all dearly miss his intelligence, his wit, sense of humor and his mischievous laugh (snicker)! Daddy we loved you because, you kept us on our toes!! We will see you in Heaven!
