Johnny Rivera, Sr. of Eola, TX passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He was born on June 12, 1956 in Waco, TX to Janie Rivera. Johnny married Olga Torres on May 23, 1981 and had 1 son together. He worked for Gentle Touch Carwash and Lowake Cotton Gin to provide for his family. Johnny had a passion for working on his yard and he will always be remembered as the lowrider from Waco, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother Janie Rivera; his step dad Domingo Rivera and his brother Jimmy Rivera. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Olga Rivera; his brother Domingo Rivera, Jr.; his son Johnny Rivera, Jr.; his grandchildren Johnny Alexander Rivera and Nya Kristine Rivera as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home with interment to follow in Mereta-Eola Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Luna, Jr., Johnny Alexander Rivera, Michael Gutierrez, Johnny Parra, Jr., Albert Rivera, Fernando Torres, Jr., and Jason Torres. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Torres, David Torres and Adam Rivera. The family wishes to thank everyone for being there for them in their time of need.
