Jose Garcia Barquera

A Viewing will be held Sunday April 14, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. The prayer service will be at 6:00 PM Monday April 15, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Isreal Flores officiating.

He was born on August 21, 1948 to Apolinar and Adelida Varquera. He married the love of his life Ella Beatrice Barquera. Together they had 3 beautiful children.

He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Barquera and Alvino Ramos; his two sons Joe Barquera, and Javier (Harvey) Barquera all of San Angelo, and two grandchildren; Ella Barquera and Alex Pacheco and the apple of his eye one great granddaughter Victoria Barquera; His brothers Ignacio and wife Yolando, Manuel and wife Dolores, Apolinar and Griselda; Sister Aurora, sister-in-law Dora Varquera as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He is proceded in death by his beloved wife, parents and his brother Juan Varquera.

Pepe was a beloved father, grandfather, and uncle. His grandchildren and great granddaughter held a special place in his heart and always put a sparkle in his eyes. Pepe retired form Levi Strauss, and later worked for SAISD as a janitor at Lakeview High School. He also sang in the group of Mariachi Grupo Amistad. The family wishes to thank Dr. Preito. We also wish to thank all the family and friends for their thoughts and prayers.
