Josie was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and worked as a hairdresser for 29 years. She enjoyed traveling with her loving husband and spending time with her family and friends. Josie's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Julian Casillas; her son, Julian Casillas, Jr.; her brother, Joe Castillo, Jr. and her sister, Elaine Camarena.
Josefina is survived by her children and their spouses, Elaine and Bill Tiedemann, Jesse Casillas, Jerry and Nidia Casillas, and Jaime and Betty Casillas; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Bertha Gonzales, Maria Luisa Valles, Rosa Bautista, and John Castillo, Sr.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be held at 7 pm, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Joey Faylona officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses from Concho Hearts Hospice and caretakers from Visiting angels for their loving care for Mrs. Casillas.
