

Joseph (Joe) Bernard Semanski, 77, of San Angelo, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at his residence.Joe was born March 3, 1937 in Pittston, Pennsyvania to John and Pela Semanski. He married the love of his life, Mitsuko (Miki) Semanski on August 21, 1959 in Fukoka, Japan.He served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force as an Airborne Counter Measure Technician. After his retirement in 1976, he worked for the San Angelo Standard Times as an Information Technology Manager for 23 years.Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus in San Angelo and his main hobby was working on computers and other electronics.He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pela Semanski, his only child, Jesse J. Semanski, and his only sister, Theresa Zarnoch.Joe is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mitsuko (Miki) Semanski; nieces, Vivian (Louie) Colomo and Sharon (Bob) Desmond; and by his close friend Tony Massaro.We would like to thank the staff from Hospice of San Angelo, and his nurse Kacci Jacoby for the great care they gave him.Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:00 PM Thursday, July 29, 2015, at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with visitation following. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2015, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, 2619 Era Street, with burial following at Calvary Catholic Cemetery with full military honors.Pallbearers will be Sergio Reyes, Omar Fuentes, Louie Colomo, Theron Stamps, Peter Aguirre and Brandon Furman.
