Juanita (Janet) Lopez was born on May 19, 1934, in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii. She met and married Carlos Lopez of Doole, Texas while he was stationed at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii. They were married at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Aiea, Oahu on January 10, 1953. She was stationed with her family in numerous AFB’s across the United States and in Japan and Spain. Wherever her family was stationed, she made it home. She loved to experience the culture and cuisine of each locality. Her family being her primary focus, she encouraged her children and grandchildren to fulfill their potential and lead meaningful lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Carlos Lopez, her father and mother, Filip and Isabelle Feliciano, her sister Isabelle (Lida), and her brothers, Stanley, and Philip Jr. (Boy) Feliciano. She is survived by sons Carlos P. of San Angelo and Michael Lopez (Jane) of Marble Falls, Texas, daughter Valerie Lopez of San Angelo, and daughter Linda Ramoz (Jimmy) of Keller, Texas. She has 5 grandchildren including Kahlina Valadez, Jody Lopez, Matthew Holguin, Isabella Lopez, and Noa Ramoz. She was blessed with 3 great grandchildren, Adon Alaniz, Victoria Valadez, and Landon Oliver Lopez; her brother Benjamin Feliciano (Candice) of Kingman, Arizona. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mother Teresa said, “Some people come in our lives as blessings. Some come in your life as lessons.” To her family, Juanita was both. She was a loving wife and a cherished Mother and Grandmother. Juanita Lopez passed into the hands of her loving Lord on July 5, 2022, at the age of 88 years. A celebration of Juanita’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022 in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
