Karen was an owner of Up A Creek Bait Store at Lake Nasworthy and worked for many years for Texas Tank Car Works. Karen enjoyed her many Bunco groups and was an avid fighter for Breast Cancer awareness.
Karen is survived by her sister Vicky Parum and two brothers Charlie Wilson and David Kimball. She is also survived by her daughter Valerie Swanson; three grandchildren: Robbie, Christina, and Paul; and five great-grandchildren: Melissa, Alexia, Aiden, Billie, and Robert.
The service will be at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 2nd at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Phil Steinbach of Sierra Vista United Methodist Church officiating.
The family has asked that instead of sending flowers, please call the National Breast Cancer Foundation and make a donation in Karen's name.
