Bobby and I met Kathy while at a BBQ cookoff, if you know her and Kevon, they loved to compete and rightly so, they won a lot of trophies. We went to the Burnet cookoff in 2014 just to see how many cookers attending in January and there was Kevon and Kathy. She was shucking pecans. She went in their RV and got me a bowl of beans because I was trying to figure out the BBQ world and those beans ended up 2nd place overall that day out of 81 cookers . We will miss her

Dear Family,
Eddie and I were so shocked and saddened by this news. When we decorated our house for Christmas this year, we once again pulled out the tree skirt that Kathy made over 20 years ago! She was always such a kind spirit and willing to help us out anytime we were visiting Mom and
Dad in San Angelo. Our prayers are with you all.
Much love,
Melissa and Eddie Smith

There are way too many to share. Kathy took me into her family when I was by myself in San Angelo. She was a great and supportive friend who treated me like one of her own. Even after Lisa and I left San Angelo for parts unknown, she continued to keep in touch and was always the same sweet friend when we spoke and saw each other. Joshua and I got to have dinner with her and Kevan and enjoyed catching up. This was such a shock and my family will miss Kathy so much. I'm glad you get to see Poppy and Annare again. But I will mourn for myself, my family, for Reanna and Steven and your family.
