Lemma Emadee Clark

October 26, 1924August 27, 2013

Lemma Emadee Clark of San Angelo passed from this life August 27, 2013 to be with her heavenly father. She was born on October 26, 1924 in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Arthur and Pearl Moore. Lemma grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Central High School. She went to work for Goldfars Jewelers and loved it. Later she married Oscar Lee Clark and they moved to Lubbock, Texas. Since he was a railroad man he was gone much of the time. Lemma decided to go back to work and worked for Hemphill Wells or fifteen and a half years. She also had a ceramic shop. In 1979, they moved to San Angelo and she continued working but also got involved in oil painting and enjoyed that. Lemma’s talents and involvements were widespread. She was a china painter and was actively involved in many organizations. She received numerous awards for her work. Lemma loved china painting and gave most of it away to family and friends. Her grandchildren were very special and have received many pieces of china. Lemma also found time to make six dolls for her great granddaughters. She was very close to her family and her two children were special to her. Lemma was a member of Order of the Eastern Star 826, member of Daughters of the Nile Ziphron Temple No 100, Member of Social Order of the Beauceant No 190, Member of A.B.W.A. (Silver Spur 2185), and of the Concho Porcelain Art Club. Lemma was a member of Southland Baptist Church and also a member of the Friendship Class. Her church and Sunday school were very special to her. Lemma was a very loving and compassionate person. Her ability to love others was a testament to her faith In God. Although she endured many hardships and trials in her life, she remained strong in her Christian belief. She will be greatly missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Pearl Moore, her sister Mildred Bassinger, niece LaDonna Rickey, and her brother Grady Moore. Survivors are her husband OL Clark; two children: Jim Bryan and partner Mitzi Lee of Edmond, Oklahoma; Beverly Horton and husband Roger of Edmond, Oklahoma; three step children Larry Clark and wife Susan of Water Valley; Susie Clark of San Diego, California; Linda Clark of San Angelo; four grandchildren Mickey Horton of Westin, Florida; Travis Horton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Sharla Bryan Colbert of New York, New York; and Vanessa Cobb of Trophy Club, Texas; Five step grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
