

Lewis Clement passed away peacefully on August 29, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 27, 1928 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Joseph and Martha Vozabal. He was preceded in death by three sisters and on brother. He is survived by his wife, Melba, two step daughters, Kathe Conner and husband Don of San Angelo; Christie Truette and husband Tracey of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, one step-son Dennis McIntyre of Indianapolis, Indiana and five step-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Marcy Barnett of Overland Park, Kansas and Augustine Evens of Anderson, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. Lewis served in the U.S. Military during the Korean conflict. After his military service he entered DePaul University in Chicago graduating with a business degree in accounting. Shortly after graduating he moved to California when he worked for several different companies as a comptroller. He moved to San Angelo in 1990. He worked for H & R Block during tax season for several years. In 1994 he married Melba Nichols McIntrye and they enjoyed many years of traveling all over the U.S. in their motor home, especially to square dance festivals.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at West Angelo Church of Christ.
