Linda R. Autry

Linda R. Autry, age 72, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Saturday August 18, 2018. Linda R. was born August 2, 1946 in Macon County, Georgia to B. Franklin and Margaret Crook. She attended Plains High School in Georgia and later went to Angelo State University where she earned her degree to become a Registered Nurse and worked for Shannon Medical Center for a number of years. Linda then married the love of her life, Thomas Autry, who she was able to spend over 35 years of her life with. They attended Harris Avenue Baptist Church for many years and she loved to help out where she could; especially during Vacation Bible School. Linda loved to paint, garden, and most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Brenda Peasnall; stepson, Brian Autry, and brother, Jessie Frank Crook. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Thomas; her daughters, Kay Thompson and Debora Jones; stepsons, Robbie and Gary Autry; grandchildren, Chanon Smidtch, Heath Jones, Kelly Eastham, Brandi Banda, Ashley Jones, D'Lea Autry, Chase Autry, Garrett Autry, Amber Autry, Jenna Autry, Hayden Autry and Grayson Autry; 20 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Charlie M. Crook, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, August 22, 2018 at Johnson's Funeral Home. A funeral service for Linda will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Harris Avenue Baptist Church with burial to follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
