

Loretta Pearce Rogers, 79, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, passed peacefully into Heaven on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Johnson's Funeral Home with Pastor Mack Roller presiding, followed by burial in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Loretta was born March 12, 1933, in Iowa Park, Texas, to John Edward Pearce and Armour Pearl Goodwin Pearce. She married Claude Rogers on April 17, 1949, in Rockwell, Texas. They later moved to San Angelo, Texas, where she resided for the remainder of her life. She was an eager servant for the Lord and ensured that she shared her testimony of Christ to everyone. Loretta was a faithful member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church. Loretta is survived her three children, Claudia Davis, Glen Rogers, Derrel Rogers and their spouses; siblings Ted Pearce and Johnnie Sue Trapp; grandchildren Michelle Van Zandt, Lance Van Zandt, Kimberly Mapes, Ricky Rogers, Lindsay Rogers, Kyle Tuttle, Amber Rogers, Mikayla Rogers and Guy Davis Jr.; and great-grandchildren Angela Rodriguez, Shalinda Darter, Noah Claude and Jacob Rogers, Emma-Lee Rogers, Talon Rogers, Hailey Mapes, Abigail, Shelby and Victoria Van Zandt, Jessica, Trey and Ty Davis. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings Weisner, Vernon, Walter, Herbert, Hansel, Arma Spurgeon and Garland. Pallbearers will be Kyle Tuttle, Ricky Rogers, Tyler Grothe, Chris Rodriquez, Terry Wallace and John Tonne. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Rogers, Greg Rogers, Guy Davis Jr., Royce Rogers, Tony Mapes and Russell Smith.
