Luis Franco Esquivel was born in Florencia, Coahuila, Mexico to Nicolas and Sixta Esquivel on July 9, 1920. He was raised in San Saba and San Angelo, Texas. He married Adelina Herrera on June 19, 1944; he and Adelina had just reached their 69th year of marriage 4 days prior to his departure. Luis served in the U.S. Army during WWII in France and Germany. He received a Purple Heart for being wounded in action. He was a Barber in San Angelo and owner of his Barber Shop for many years. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles with his many friends. Luis died on June 23, 2013 of the natural effects of aging. He was preceded in death by his parents Nicolas and Sixta; an infant son, Luis; three sisters, Leonor, Laura, and Inez. He is survived by three sisters, Melilia, Victoria, and Juanita; his wife Adelina; two daughters Vera and Vickie; one son Lee; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Luis’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all his family members, friends, the hospice nurses and aids for the wonderful care and support during the last days of his life.
