Margaret Joan Allison, 83, passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, in a local nursing home. Joan was born in Emporia, Kan. to Edward and Margaret Kowalski on April 9, 1930. Joan was raised in the Catholic Church and carried that faith with her for the rest of her life. Mrs. Allison loved reading and astronomy. Joan married the love of her life, Finney Allison, on June 15, 1975. Together they opened up a delivery business in which they would take prescriptions from drug stores to people's homes for those who could not get to the store. Joan loved her family and will be missed greatly. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in Belvedere Memorial Park.
