

Margaret Ann Ripple Knieff, 85, of San Angelo passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011. She was born to Henry H. and Francis Bubenik Ripple on February 7, 1926 in Rowena. She graduated from Ballinger High School in 1943. She married Paul C. Knieff on August 15, 1946 in San Angelo and he preceded her in death in 1970. After Paul passed away she attended Angelo State University where she received an RN degree in nursing in December of 1974. She served as a nurse at the Angelo State University Clinic, as a medical/surgical floor nurse and as a floor charge nurse at Shannon Hospital. She spent her life caring for others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents: Henry and Francis Ripple; one sister: Francis Dusek; and three brothers: Henry J. Ripple, William E. Ripple and Julius J. Ripple.
She is survived by her loving companion and special, longtime friend, Bob Breazeale; sister: Olga Jansa; sister-in-law: Annie Mae Ripple; nieces and nephews: Marvin Dusek and wife Ruth, Dorothy Havlak and husband Ludwig, Roy Lee Dusek, Eugene Dusek and wife Charlene, Billy Ray Dusek and wife Lillian, Laverne Mikeska, Carlene Maher, Wally Dusek, Noemi Hoelscher and husband Ralph, Daniel Jansa and wife La Rita, Rodney Ripple and wife Karen and James Ripple and wife Mary Kay; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and step-daughters: Paula Jo Franklin and Linda Baird and husband Alton.
Special thanks go to Bishop Michael Pfeiffer and Fr. Tom Barley for their spiritual guidance and support of Margaret in her journey at life’s end.
There will be a family visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Marvin Dusek, Eugene Dusek, Daniel Jansa, Ralph Hoelscher, Rodney Ripple and James Ripple. Memorial gifts can be made to the American Cancer Society, Meals for the Elderly, or your favorite charity.
