She was married on September 24, 1960, in San Angelo to Sam Cedillo who has since deceased. Together they had three children, Richard, Yvonne and Edna.
Survivors include her children: Richard Cedillo (Liz), Yvonne Soto (Opie) and Edna Martinez. Sisters: Leonor Fiore, Lelia Alcala, Ida Welch, Mary Ann Kellam and Lucy Gonzales: Four grandchildren: Joshua Montgomery, Ryan, Briana and Alexis, Martinez, and two great grandchildren: Amelia Martinez and Amari Ontiveroz
On 11 December, 1999 she married Earl Gillis an Air Force careerist at which time she gained 3 sons, Joshua, David, and Steven.
Martha was a loving, caring, giving and generous person. She spent her working years as an LVN and later, a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, ending her career at Brooks City Base, San Antonio, Texas 2006.
Upon retirement she accompanied her husband to San Antonio, Texas and on to Colorado Springs, Colorado before settling back in San Angelo 1n 2014.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Sam, her father and mother, her son Steven, and three Godchildren, Jessica Alcala, Carol Alcala, and Robert Gutierrez.
A rosary for Martha will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday June 10, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 11 W. Avenue N with interment to follow at Johnsons Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
