She joined the Air Force to serve as a nurse. While she was at Keesler AFB, she met and married Herman Taylor. They were transferred to Webb AFB in Big Spring in 1964. They raised their two sons and retired there. After her husbands passing, she moved to San Angelo.
Mary Lou was active in her church and volunteered with Meals-On-Wheels. She was a member of the American Legion.
Mary Lou loved God, her country and her family. Her children would like to thank the health care providers in San Angelo who provided her such great care. She is survived by her two sons and two grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and step-daughter.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 2nd at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo. Funeral service will be at 9 am on Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 3536 Lutheran Way, San Angelo, Texas, 76904.
