Mattie Corrine Clark

Mattie Corrine Clark, 79, of San Angelo, passed away Sunday September 21, 2014 in San Angelo, Texas. Mattie was born in New Braunfels, Texas on November 1, 1934 to Marshall Matthew Barrington and Rosie Mae Mullins. Mattie worked at Goodyear Proving Grounds and also as a caregiver for the elderly. With such a caring heart, Mattie would put her personal needs aside to help someone else in need. Mattie was a great mother as well as the Matriarch of her family. Mattie loved her children and grandchildren and devoted her life to them. Mattie enjoyed doing puzzles, working in her yard, cooking and spending time with her family. Mattie also loved camping and fishing. Mattie was preceded in death by her parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

Mattie is survived by her children; Valerie Wells, Sharon Long, James Clark, Michael Clark and Matthew Clark, all of San Angelo, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday October 2, 2014 at Pioneer Memorial Park with Leroy Steen officiating. Arrangements for Mattie Corrine Clark are entrusted to Johnson’s Funeral Home.
