

Annie Maxine Montgomery Morgan, 89, of San Angelo, died Tuesday January 21, 2014 at the Bronte Health and Rehabilitation Center. Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 5 at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo, TX. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday Feb. 6, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bill Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Cody Morgan, Clint Morgan, Ed Geisendorff III, Michael Geisendorff, Brandon Geisendorff, and Khale Buck.
Maxine was born August 4, 1924 in San Angelo. She graduated from San Angelo High School in 1941 and attended the University of Texas. Maxine married Roy Morgan on January 1, 1947. After settling in west Texas, she worked for Crane County for 16 years, then for Mobil Oil Corp. Maxine retired in 1985, after which she and Roy moved back to San Angelo. Maxine was a member of the Methodist Church and served as choir director when they lived in McCamey and Iraan. She was an active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in San Angelo. Roy and Maxine enjoyed square dancing, bowling and going to Las Vegas.
She is survived by two children and their spouses, Laura and Ed Geisendorff Jr. of Comanche and David and Sheri Morgan of Blackwell; and six grandchildren, Michael Geisendorff of Austin, Ed Geisendorff III and wife Angela of Grand Prairie, Belinda Stovall of Brownwood, Carroll Hopkins and husband Ken of Dallas, Clint Morgan of Houston, and Cody Joe Morgan and wife Courtney of Houston; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Morgan, daughter Mary Carroll Morgan, and grandson Chris Morgan.
Maxine had a good sense of humor and enjoyed playing the harmonica. She lived a full life. She will be missed.
