Michael Flores

August 1, 2011September 29, 2011

SAN ANGELO After a lengthy illness and sudden setback, Michael departed this world to meet his creator on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011.

Beloved son of Richard Sr. and Carmen Flores of San Angelo; brother, husband, uncle and most of all, father, he will be greatly missed. The warrior that left the rest of us in awe has taken up the battle to help anew.

Relentless volunteer, counselor and friend, his memory will always be strong with those he left behind. Michael was a graduate of the Class of 94 at San Angelo Central High School and went on to have a career with his father's company.

Most amazing of all is how he touched people's lives. Our "Superman" coached, taught, trained and mentored hundreds of kids and people. He was a true inspiration to us all.

Michael is survived by his wife, Teresa; daughters Heaven and Sierena; sons Michael Jr. and Nathan; siblings Richard Jr., Jo, Peter and Jessica, including inlaws Angela, Winston, Scotty and Jarrod; nephews Jeromy, Anthony, Eric, Bubba, Jose, Armando, Gabriel, Peyton and Ryan; nieces Maria, Lauren, Daisy, Ajhani, Selena and his sweetheart, Ju Ju; aunts; uncles; cousins and countless friends; and one sparkling new grandson, Jessie Jr.

When his son was asked what he wanted to say about his Dad, he replied, "I'm glad God gave me my Dad."

Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel.

Service is at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Richard, Carmen and family: No words can express how I feel about the passing of Michael. He was such a beautiful child growing up. I still remember him playing with my son Isaac and his best buddy, Peter. We moved away from San Angelo, but I still hold your family close to my heart. Your family is in my thoughts and I will keep you in my prayers that our Lord give you the strength during your time of sorrow.

Im so sorry to hear about Mike. The first time I had met Mike n Teresa, wuz when he coach'd my boy Demitri n soccer along with lil'Mikey. I remember Demitri hav'n trouble with kick'n the ball when he first start'd soccer, and Demitri want'n to give up, Mike wuz there with patience and all work'n with him til he got it down. Since then Demitri felt that he cud accomplish ne'thng if he sets his mind to it. Mike had so much heart, he wud help ne'one n need. Always donating his spare time help'n others without ask'n for ne'thng n return. He wuz such a great friend, and I could see that he loved his family to the fullest. And thru knw'n Mike, my kids n I had met the most wunderful family, n I thank u Mike for that. Richard and Carmen, u were giv'n an angel, and now he is look'n over u. Teresa, mamaz stay strong for ur kids cuz they really do need u rite now. Jessica, Jo, Peter, and Richard, my prayers are with u all thru this difficult time. We're go'n to miss u Mike but u will forever be n our hearts.....
