Modesto Gutierrez Sr.

A rosary will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2011. Burial will proceed after services at Lawnhaven Memorial Garden. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.

Modesto spent most of his time in Bronte and San Angelo. He worked in the roofing business and worked as a barber for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Jovita Gutierrez, his siblings Maria Montez, Torevia Minjarez, and Cruz Gutierrez, his four children Modesto Gutierrez Jr., Henry Gutierrez, Diana and Ernest (deceased) and two daughters Olga Moya and husband, Ira Sanborn and Yolanda Huerta, and husband, Felix Huerta. He is also survived by his grandchildren include Jacqueline Malozzi and husband Giovanni Malozzi, David Huerta and wife, Dr. Jessica Huerta, Anthony Gutierrez, Nicole Gutierrez, Christopher Gutierrez, Carlos Gutierrez, and wife Griselda Gutirrez, and Catherine Ellis and husband Terry Ellis, and his great-grandchildren include Jessica Huerta, Patrick Mendoza, Dylan Ellis, Brianna Ellis, Dominick Ellis, and Rebecca Gutierrez.
