She was born on November 6, 1932 in Doole, Texas to Eddie Holden and Zula Kemp.
Nila Faye attended Norton High School from 1946 – 1950.
She began her career in office management with Hopper Electric in Lubbock in 1963. She worked in several electrical contracting firms until her employment with Addressograph/Multigraph Corporation in the early 1970’s.
After several years in the corporate world, she went to work for Deaver and Vickery Construction, where she was the Bookkeeper and Accountant.
She retired in 2003 from Scoggin and Dickey Buick Company in Lubbock after several years as their Office Manager and Accountant.
Nila Faye married Earl James Urbantke on December 8th, 1950. They had two children, Gerald and Earlene. Through their family, she has four grandchildren and five great grandchildren
On August 30, 2013, Nila Faye married James Marlin Davis in San Angelo. She enjoyed and shared in the joy of Marlin’s family.
She had a passion for family history, genealogy, sewing, flowers and gardening.
She was a member of Saint Luke’s Methodist in San Angelo and the West Angelo Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl James Urbantke; her parents, Eddie and Zula Kemp Holden; and her sister Mary Othella Mcquire.
She is survived by her second husband Marlin Davis, her son Gerald and daughter Earlene, her grandchildren Justin, Sean, Ian, and Selyna; as well as her great grandchildren Kalvin, Nakayla, Holden, Everett and Avlyn. Including her extend Davis family of Nelda and Twila, their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, AV Holden of Georgetown, Texas, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home, Thursday, May 6, 2021 from, 5 to 7pm. Services will be held at 10 am Friday, May 7, 2021 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The family would also like to thank Robin and Nikki Lowe for their care and compassion of Faye over the last two years.
