Ninfa De La Rosa Lopez, 77, of San Angelo, TX went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Ninfa was born on October 27, 1933 to Cleto and Josephine De La Rosa in San Angelo, TX. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She started her career at St. Mary’s Catholic School as a teacher’s aide. She later worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Company and then as Manager at Ramirez Tortilla Factory. She then worked as a supervisor in the housekeeping department at ASU. She was dearly loved by all of her family and friends, and as a true Disciple, her mission in life was to help anyone in need, especially her nieces and nephews. She always made sure that they received Christmas and Birthday presents. She gave them a wonderful quality of life and always had faith, courage, strength, and compassion. Ninfa was a great role model for all of her family. She will be greatly missed, but as we mourn for her death others will rejoice in greeting her with open arms. She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Susie Garcia, favorite niece Ana Davila, and nephews Raymond Garcia and Tony Aguirre. She is survived by her sisters, Ophelia Davila of San Angelo, and Alice De La Rosa of Greeley, Colorado, one brother, Clyde De La Rosa Jr. of Los Angeles, California, a brother-in-law Gregorio Garcia of San Angelo, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff of Shannon, S.A. Hospice, Encompass Home Health, and Regency House nursing home for their kind care and compassion shown to our precious Ninfa. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Mary’s or a charity of your choice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David Herrera officiating.
