

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norma Z Cadena, a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant, who left us on Friday, August 18, 2023. Norma touched the lives of countless individuals with her unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care and kindness.
Born on October 29, 1954 in Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico, Norma entered the world with a heart full of empathy and a calling to make a difference in the lives of others. She pursued her passion by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, dedicating more than 44 years of her life to the service of those in need.
Her colleagues and patients alike remember Norma for her boundless compassion, always offering a gentle smile, a reassuring touch, and a listening ear. Her ability to provide not just medical care, but also emotional support, created an atmosphere of comfort and trust for everyone she cared for. Norma had an innate ability to brighten even the darkest days, reminding us all that kindness is a language understood by the heart.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Norma was cherished by her family and friends. She enjoyed watching movies with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her snacks and always checked on her mother to make sure she always had everything she needed. She was a devoted mother that built a foundation for her children to succeed.
Norma was preceded in death by her father, Andres Zapata. She leaves behind her mother Maria Elena Zapata; brother Andres Zapata Jr.; son Maximiano Cadena and wife Cherrie; son Rudolfo Cadena Jr and wife Alba; and daughter Adriana Cadena. She is also survived by her grandchildren Maximiano Cadena Jr, Caesar Cadena and partner Natalie Beish, Isla Neira and husband Robert, Lila Cadena, Larissa Cadena, Natalie Cadena, Leah Cadena, Robbie Cadena, and Lucille Cadena. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Ataliesa, Nayanna, Isabella, Madyson, MacKenzie, Azriella, Avantika, Christian, Asaiah, and Zhavia. She is also survived by her niece Jennifer Cedillo and husband David and their son Brandon; as well as her nephew Jayson Zapata and sons Easton, Kipton, and Grayson.
She leaves behind many family members and countless friends who were fortunate enough to experience her love and warmth. Norma's legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the lessons she imparted – to care deeply, love unconditionally, and make every moment count.
Though Norma may have left this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A celebration of life service for Norma will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 W Beauregard Ave, San Angelo, Texas 76903.
