She was preceded in death by her husband, Nealy Mackey, parents, Sam and Lettie McDonald, her brothers Jack, Charlie, and Thermon, her sisters Dorothy and Lavern and her grandson Trey Murphy. She will be dearly missed by all, including her two sisters, Kathleen Ford, and Patsy Sims and five grandchildren, Jerry and Darrel Haynes, Todd Ewing, Kristen Daniels, and Kim Stringer, her nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family expresses their appreciation and gratitude to Shannon Hospital and the ICU staff for their kindness and professionalism during her last days with us. MaMaw would rather donations be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice instead of purchasing flowers for the ceremony.
