Patricia Mccalister Soles

Patricia McCalister Soles, Pat to all her family and friends, 76, passed from this life and went to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday evening, October 24, 2011. She is survived by her father, Frank Sandel of Big Lake, one daughter and her husband, Carla & Buddy Helms of Big Lake, one daughter-in-law and “son-in-law”, Brenda & Jimmy Villers of San Angelo, one sister and her husband, Judy & Rusty Clayton of Christoval, one brother, Clyde D. “Pete” Sandel of Friendswood, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and very special friend and right-hand, Maricela Gallegos. Pat was a member of First Baptist Church of Big Lake.

Pat was born Born August 22, 1935 in Kilgore, Texas, to Kenneth Gil McCalister and Bonnie Merle Dickerson . She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved step-father, Claude Desmond Cox, and her son, Clay Desmond Harris.

It was Pat’s desire to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 27, at First Baptist Church in Big Lake, with Bro. J. B. Bitner, Jr., officiating, arrangements by Johnsons Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held after the service in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be Barron Beacham, Mark Calley, Santos Gallegos, Shea Harris, Andy Helms, Brian Magers, Peter Sandel, Jordan Subia and Jimmy Villers.

The family of Pat Soles wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Reagan Memorial Hospital and Dr. Williams, the ER staff at Shannon Medical Center, Dr. Luis Duarte, and the Stroke Unit at Shannon Medical Center. Memorials can be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
