Patsey was born on January 5, 1954, in Lake Worth, Texas, to John and Venita Usry. On September 4, 1971, she married the love of her life, Jimmie Lane. Together, they welcomed their three children: Tanya, Tammy, and John. Although their years together were cut short by Jimmie’s passing in 1988, the love they shared remained an important part of Patsey’s story. She continued forward with strength and devotion, raising their children and building a life centered around the family she loved so dearly.
In 1991, Patsey answered what would become one of her greatest callings when she became a Registered Nurse. For 35 years, she devoted herself to caring for others, offering not only her knowledge and skill but also her compassion and kindness. Nursing was more than a profession to Patsey; it was a reflection of her caring heart and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Waiting to welcome Patsey into Heaven were her beloved husband, Jimmie; her parents, John and Venita Usry; her sister, Linda; and her precious great-grandson, Carter. What a beautiful reunion that must have been.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tanya and Avery Arredondo of San Angelo, Tammy and Ben Gonzales of San Angelo, and John and Liz Lane of Clyde; her grandchildren, Brittani Lane, Dylan Lane, Jonathan Gonzales, Kenzie Blount, Jordan Lane, Chloe Gonzales, and Bella Lane; her great-grandchildren, Asher Blount and Catalina Gonzales; her sister, Anita Bacon; and her brother, Johnny Usry. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Serving as pallbearers will be Avery Arredondo, Ben Gonzales, Jonathan Gonzales, Caleb Usry, Andrew Blount, and Jacob Salazar. Honorary pallbearers will be John Lane, Johnny Usry, and Asher Blount.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 6, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A celebration of Patsey’s life will be held Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with a committal service to follow at Grape Creek Cemetery.
Patsey brought so much love, warmth, and color into the lives of those who knew her. In celebration of her life and the beautiful memories she leaves behind, the family invites everyone to wear a touch of purple, her favorite color, as a special tribute to her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Nurses Honor Guard of the Concho Valley, in honor of Patsey’s lifelong dedication to the nursing profession.
Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
