

The Lord took Patsy Jean Holden home peacefully November 6 at her residence. A family member was with her. She was 90 years old. A memorial service will be held at her former residence, 3018 Southland Blvd. at 2 p.m, Saturday November 11.
Patsy Holden was born in Dallas March 6, 1933 to Lois Stroud Tucker and Rushin Albert Tucker. She was the sister of one younger brother, Albert Tucker. She married Robert L. Holden November 3, 1948.
Patsy graduated with a MA.Ed from Angelo State University. She was a dedicated teacher for 30 years at Santa Rita Elementary and also a Cub Scout Den Mother, all while raising four rambunctious boys. During her college studies she co-authored a book with Alma Contreas on the history of Fredericksburg.
Patsy is survived by her three sons, Patrick Holden of San Angelo, Chris (Stefani) Holden of Wimberley, TX, and Shawn Holden of San Angelo. She is also survived by one brother-in-law, Bill Holden, two godchildren, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by parents Lois and R. Albert Tucker, brother Albert Tucker, husband Robert Holden, son Michael Holden, nephew Derek Holden, and her cousin Manetta Tubbs LaCrosse who was like a sister to her through life.
We would like to thank all who supported Patsy and her family through this difficult time. We also thank the hospice nurses and staff who provided her great care, and special gratitude to Chaplain Ricky Green for the spiritual and uplifting support he gave to all of us.
