Ramona Martinez Martinez Lara

Ramona Martinez Lara, 84, of Mertzon, TX, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. She was born on May 24, 1933 in Loraine, TX to Vicente and Consuelo Martinez. She was married to Samuel Lara on April 16, 1949. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Mertzon, TX. She had a passion for crocheting and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Sam, a son; Abel and wife Elsa of San Angelo, TX; a daughter Sylvia Molina and husband Robert of Odessa, TX; her grandchildren; Ronnie Molina, Kristy Molina, Liza Magallan, Kari Gonzalez and husband Marcos; a brother Adan Martinez and his wife Toni; a sister Elodia Hinojosa; a sister-in-law Mary Lou Martinez, 18 great grand-children and one great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Baby Lara; her parents, Vicente and Consuelo Martinez; her brothers; Manuel Martinez Sr. and Efren Martinez Sr. Pallbearers include, Ronnie Sr., Isaac Ryan, Jayden, Nathaniel, Ezekiel, and Marcos Sr. Honorary pallbearers are Esai, Adrian, Marcos, Samuel, Vicente, Sonny, and Ronnie Jr. A visitation for Mrs. Lara will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 starting at 6:00 P.M. with a rosary Service following at 7:00 P.M. in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:30 A..M. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Mertzon, TX; with the burial to follow in Mertzon Cemetery.
