Ricardo "Cruiser" Valdez

He was born on February 23, 1965 in Hereford, Texas to Elizandro and Concepcion Valdez. Ricardo attended Hereford High School and later obtained his CDL from Action Technical. He began his career as a professional driver working for Burlington. Ricardo married Mary Lou Zuniga on November 27, 1989 and gained 3 step children.

Ricardo had a passion for football and his driving career until his health began to decline. He will always be remembered for his kind spirit and love he shared with those around him.

Ricardo is preceded in death by his mother, Concepcion Rodriguez Valdez.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Lou Zuniga Valdez; father, Elizandro Valdez of San Angelo; siblings, Alex Valdez (Yolanda) of San Angelo, Estela Ramires of San Angelo, Socoro Rubio (Pete) of Wall, and Juana Maria Ortiz of Fort Worth; step-children, Melissa Garcia of Grand Prairie, Mario Falcon, Jr. of San Angelo, and Christopher Falcon, Sr. (Jennifer) of San Angelo; grandchildren, Analise Noah and Catrina Noah of Grand Prairie, Mario Falcon III and Myron Falcon of San Angelo, Kaleigh Falcon, Christopher Falcon, Jr., and Christian Falcon of San Angelo. Also left to cherish his memory are great-grandchildren Dominic Acuna and Alivia Rose Acuna of Grand Prairie, and Maia Ware of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece Gabriela Ramires of Florida.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 9 am at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held shortly after at 11am at Belvedere Memorial Park.

Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Falcon, Sr., Christopher Falcon, Jr., Mario Falcon, Jr., Mario Falcon, III, and Myron Falcon.

The family would also like to thank the staff of St. John's and Shannon Memorial Medical Center for the compassionate care they gave Ricardo.
